The 30-day guarantee

You cannot read a PDF before you buy it, so the risk should not be yours.

In plain terms

Every guide carries a 30-day money-back guarantee: if it is not what you needed, reply to your order email within 30 days and you get a full refund, no questions asked.

Why this is here

A bookshop lets you read the first chapter standing in the aisle. A download does not, which normally means you carry all of the risk at the moment you pay. The guarantee moves that risk onto me, which is where it belongs: I am the one who knows what is inside the guide.

It also keeps the work honest. These guides are bought by parents who are usually in the middle of something, often the week before a meeting, and who are weighing a few dollars against an educational advocate at $100 to $300 an hour. If a guide cannot survive a month of second-guessing, it should not be for sale.

How to claim it

  • Within 30 days of your purchase, reply to your order email, or write to the address below from the email address you used at checkout.
  • If you are writing from a different address, send it to [email protected] and include your order number, which is on your confirmation email.
  • Say which guide it is. That is the whole message. No form, and no explanation required: telling me what fell short helps me fix the guide, but it is not a condition of the refund.
  • You get a reply within two business days, and the refund goes back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, the money usually reappears within five to ten business days.
  • There is nothing to return and nothing to delete. The file you downloaded stays yours; your download link is switched off when the refund is issued.

What it covers

Every guide and every bundle sold on this site, for 30 days from the date of purchase, for the full amount you paid. It applies whether the guide turned out to be the wrong one for you, whether it covered ground you already knew, or whether you simply changed your mind.

What it does not cover

This is a refund, not a promise about what your school will decide. Nothing here guarantees an eligibility finding, a service, a placement, or a particular answer at a meeting. Those decisions belong to a team and to a process, and any publisher who promised you one would be selling you something they cannot deliver.

It also does not cover advice about your individual child, which is not sold here at any price. What a guide gives you is the process in plain English, with the sources named, so you know what to ask for and where the answer comes from. The line between education and advice is set out in the editorial policy.

If something is simply broken

A file that will not open, a download link that has expired, or a missing worksheet is not a refund question. Write and it gets fixed, usually the same day, and you keep the guide.

The formal version

This page is the guarantee in plain English. The policy language, including how refunds are issued and what happens to your download access, is on the refund policy page. Questions before you buy belong in the FAQ or in my inbox.
